Victoria Hislop

Victoria Hislop, born in 1950 in Bromley, Kent, studied English and initially worked in publishing and as a journalist. Her debut novel, *The Island* (2005), received a British Book Award and was adapted as a television series in 2010. In 2020, she acquired Greek citizenship.
