Veronika Peters

Veronika Peters, born in Gießen in 1966, spent her childhood in Germany and Africa. After training in special education, she worked as a teacher in a psychiatric youth home. In her early twenties, she joined a Benedictine convent, where she lived for twelve years and worked, among other things, as a gardening assistant, restorer and bookseller. After leaving the convent in 2000, she became a freelance writer. She gained recognition with the autobiographical narrative »Was in zwei Koffer passt« (2007). Her other novels include »An Paris hat niemand gedacht«, »Die Dame hinter dem Vorhang«, »Das Herz von Paris« and »Nackt war ich am schönsten« (2024).
