Veronica Ferres

Veronica Ferres was born in Solingen in 1965. She studied German and theatre studies in Munich before receiving acting training at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Berlin. After various engagements in the German theatre world, she achieved her breakthrough in 1991 with the feature film »Schtonk«. In 1996, she played the title role in Sönke Wortmann’s comedy »Das Superweib«. In her subsequent career, she took on numerous character roles in addition to comedic parts, working in film and television. Her acting has earned her several awards, including the Bambi, the Golden Camera, the Grimme Award and the Bavarian Television Award.
