Ursula Heinzelmann (born 1963) trained as a sommelier and worked in gastronomy. She has written for publications including the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung and Slow Food and has published eleven books. Her works include “Erlebnis Essen,” “Erlebnis Kochen,” and “Erlebnis Käse und Wein.” Her most recent book is “Die neue albanische Küche. Mediterran, Modern, Mullixhiu. Die besten Rezepte des Bledar Kola.” For the book, she spent many days in the kitchen of Renate Lieb, recording her recipes. Heinzelmann received the Sophie Coe Prize in Food History for the second time in 2006 and the Prix Lanson for wine journalism in 2008.
