Ulrike Sosnitza

Ulrike Sosnitza was born in Darmstadt in 1965. A former librarian, she is the author of several novels, including *Die Glücksschneiderin* and *Sternenblütenträume*, her fourth novel published by Heyne. For *Die Glücksschneiderin*, she drew inspiration in part from upcycling ideas found in the sewing-blog community. Sosnitza grew up with her mother’s sewing machine and preferred knitting to sewing herself.
