Ulrike Brauns

Ulrike Brauns studied German studies, Scandinavian studies and English literature in Bonn, Stockholm and Melbourne. From 2004 onward, she worked as a freelance translator and subtitler. In 2010, she translated her first novel and increasingly turned to fiction. Her work in subtitling was shaped by the field’s specific constraints of 38 characters and two lines.
