Ulrich Warnke

Ulrich Warnke (born 1945) holds a doctorate in the natural sciences. He studied biology, physics, geography and education and worked as a university lecturer at Saarland University, teaching subjects including biomedicine, biophysics, environmental medicine, physiological psychology and psychosomatics, preventive biology, and bionics. Until 2010, he was an Akademischer Oberrat, a senior academic position, at the university. From 1969 onward, his research focused on the effects of electromagnetic oscillations and fields, including light, on organisms. He headed the Technical Biomedicine research group from 1989 to 2010. Warnke was a founding member of the Society for Technical Biology and Bionics.
