Ulla Steuernagel

Ulla Steuernagel, born in 1954 near Cologne, studied empirical cultural studies, art history and education. She worked as an editor at the Schwäbisches Tagblatt newspaper in Tübingen, including as an editor for its children’s section. In 2002, she and Ulrich Janßen developed the concept of the Children’s University. Several books emerged from the lecture series and were translated into numerous languages. Steuernagel received the Corine Book Prize in 2004 and the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany in 2009.
