Uli Hauser, born in 1962 in Orsoy on the Lower Rhine, worked as a reporter for the German magazine Stern for more than 30 years and wrote several nonfiction books. Together with neuroscientist Gerald Hüther, he co-authored Jedes Kind ist hoch begabt and Würde. In Geht doch!, Hauser described his walk from Hamburg to Rome. His writing received the Theodor Wolff Prize, and he was nominated for the Egon Erwin Kisch Prize and the German Reporter Award.
