Ulf Nilsson (1948–2021) was a Swedish author of books for children and adults. He was born in Helsingborg and died in Stockholm in 2021. His best-known works include *The Best Funerals in the World* and *Adieu, Herr Muffin*. *The Best Funerals in the World* was nominated for the German Youth Literature Prize in 2007, while *Adieu, Herr Muffin* received Sweden’s highest children’s book award. Nilsson also wrote the series featuring Detective Gordon.
