Tuula Karjalainen

Tuula Karjalainen (born 1942) is a Finnish art historian and nonfiction author. She completed her doctoral research on the beginnings of abstract painting in Finland and worked as a researcher, university professor, and curator. Among other positions, she directed the Helsinki Art Museum and the Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art. In 2014, she was responsible for the major Tove Jansson jubilee exhibition at the Ateneum Museum in Helsinki.
