Troy Denning (born 1958), also known by the pseudonym Richard Awlinson, is an American game developer, game designer, and author. Before beginning his writing career, he worked in the games industry. He has written more than 20 novels, including numerous works set in the Forgotten Realms universe and more than half a dozen Star Wars novels. He has also written for Dungeons & Dragons. Denning is a New York Times bestselling author.
