Torsten Meireis

Torsten Meireis, born in 1964, is a theologian and scholar specializing in systematic theology, particularly ethics. He studied Protestant theology, philosophy, and social sciences at universities in Frankfurt am Main, Munich, and Heidelberg. In 1994, he received his doctorate from Heidelberg University; in 2007, he completed his habilitation with the study “Tätigkeit und Erfüllung. Protestantische Ethik im Umbruch der Arbeitsgesellschaft” (“Activity and Fulfillment: Protestant Ethics amid the Transformation of the Working Society”). His academic career has included positions at the universities of Bern and Berlin.
