Tom Burgis

Tom Burgis worked as an investigative journalist and foreign correspondent for the Financial Times. He reported from more than forty countries, including Johannesburg and Lagos, and led an investigative journalism team. His work received a Jerwood Award in 2013 and an award from the Overseas Press Club of America. His critically acclaimed first book, “The Curse of Wealth” (2016), examined the modern exploitation of Africa.
