Thorsten Moos

Thorsten Moos (born 1969) is a physicist and Protestant theologian. He studied theoretical physics and Protestant theology, earned his doctorate in 2006, and completed his habilitation in 2017. From 2005 to 2010, he was a study director and deputy director of the Evangelische Akademie Sachsen-Anhalt. He subsequently headed the Religion, Law and Culture department at the Research Centre of the Protestant Association for the Study of Religion and Society (FEST) in Heidelberg until 2017. He later held a chair in diaconal studies and systematic theology/ethics at the Kirchliche Hochschule Wuppertal/Bethel. His research has focused on bioethics and medical ethics, theological anthropology, concepts of illness, and ethical questions concerning church and diaconal work.
