Thomas Perry

Thomas Perry, born in 1947 in Tonawanda, New York, studied English literature at Cornell University and the University of Rochester. Before becoming known as a writer, he worked in various jobs, including as a fisherman, weapons mechanic, and teacher. Perry wrote more than twenty crime novels and thrillers. His debut novel, *The Butcher’s Boy* (1982), received the Edgar Allan Poe Award for Best Novel.
