Thomas Oehler

Thomas “Tom” Oehler was born in 1959 in Bruchsal, northern Baden. As a so-called Bundeswehr child, he grew up in various parts of what was then West Germany and attended schools in several federal states. After completing secondary school, he pursued a career as a soldier and later moved around Germany with his family. Following his retirement, he examined the causes of differing perceptions and social “worlds”; the results of this research were incorporated into a book.
