Thomas Michalski (born 1983) grew up in the Eifel region of Germany. In 2003, he moved to Aachen, where he studied German and general literary studies as well as philosophy at RWTH Aachen University. He subsequently worked as a journalist for several years and published articles in various specialist magazines. His work includes several nonfiction and fiction books. As a volunteer with Saltatio – Historisches Tanzen Aachen e.V., he also taught historical dance.
