Thomas Edward Lawrence

Thomas Edward Lawrence (1888–1935), also known as T. E. Lawrence, was born in Wales. While still a student, he travelled through the Arabian Peninsula as an explorer and gained extensive knowledge of its language and culture. He is best known for his work “Seven Pillars of Wisdom,” which was first published in a small edition in 1926 and achieved wider success only after his death.
