Theres Essmann

Theres Essmann, born in 1967 in Münsterland, studied German and philosophy in Tübingen. Before becoming an author and poetry therapist, she worked for 20 years as an executive in the private sector. Her debut novel, “Federico Temperini,” was published in 2020 and received the Literature Grant of the State of Baden-Württemberg; Essmann was also nominated for the Thaddäus Troll Prize. Her second novel, “Dünnes Eis,” was shortlisted for the 2024 Anna Haag Prize.
