Theo Piegler

Theo Gottfried Piegler, born in 1944 in Schleiz, holds a doctorate in medicine and is a psychoanalyst. He worked in a senior position at a hospital in Hamburg. Alongside his medical career, he pursued an interest in genealogy and the history of the Vogtland region. He published essays on these subjects in the Heimatjahrbuch des Saale-Orla-Kreises, the Greiz periodical Der Heimatbote, and the journal Familie und Geschichte. His book Feuer aus Schleiz was published in 2001.
