Thea Sternheim

Thea Sternheim (1883–1971), born Bauer, was born in Neuss and was married to the playwright Carl Sternheim from 1907 to 1927. She went into exile in Paris a year before Hitler came to power. Her works include the novel *Sackgassen* (1952), the novella *Anna*, which was published under her husband’s name, and a diary she kept from 1903 until her death. She died in Basel.
