Tessa Korber (born 1966 in Grünstadt, in the Palatinate) studied literary studies, German studies and history, and earned a doctorate in German studies. She worked in publishing and the book trade, as well as in advertising and teaching. Following the success of her first novel, The Caravan Queen, she published more than twenty novels, including historical fiction and crime novels; some appeared under pseudonyms and were translated into several languages. In 2011, she received the Cultural Prize of her home town, Forchheim. Her publications also include crime novels and other books about cats.
