Tamar Muskhelishvili

Tamar Muskhelishvili was born in Tbilisi in 1988 and grew up bilingually in Germany from the age of two. She studied cultural studies, political science and visual anthropology in Bremen and Göttingen. She subsequently worked at the CCA – Center of Contemporary Art – Tbilisi and co-founded the NGO Active for Culture. Through this organization, she developed several art and cultural projects, including the first Georgian video art archive, which was supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and Georgia’s Ministry of Culture. She began working as a translator in 2017.
