Takashi Okazaki

Takashi Okazaki was born in 1974 in Kanagawa, Japan, and graduated from Tama Art University. He worked as an illustrator, including on CD and DVD covers, as well as a manga artist, and also created sculptures and live-painting performances. His best-known work, Afro Samurai, originally began as a dōjinshi for the Japanese independent comics magazine Nou Nou Hao. The manga was later adapted into an anime television series by the animation studio Gonzo. Samuel L. Jackson provided a voice and served as executive producer, while RZA of the Wu-Tang Clan contributed to the soundtrack.
