Taiyo Matsumoto

Taiyō Matsumoto (born 1967) is a Japanese manga artist. His work encompasses science fiction, family stories, and sports narratives, often moving beyond the manga mainstream. He achieved his breakthrough in 1994 with Tekkon Kinkreet, which received an Eisner Award. His other notable works include Sunny, which was published internationally. Matsumoto’s drawing style is unconventional and sometimes surreal.
