Sylvie Braesi

Sylvie Braesi (born 1960) grew up in Magdeburg and trained as a residential childcare worker. She worked, among other roles, as a lecturer and placement coach in adult education, and as a cabaret performer. She began writing in 2015 and published her books as a self-publisher. Her work included historical and contemporary regional and cozy crime novels, as well as short stories, poems, and texts for adults and children. Her publications include the historical Manhattan trilogy, including Manhattan Tenderloin (2018) and Manhattan Revenge (2019), and Magdeburger Mord(s)geschichten (2019), a collection of short crime stories co-authored with another writer from Magdeburg.
