Sven Regener

Sven Regener, born in Bremen in 1961, became known as a musician and writer. He was a founding member, singer, lyricist and trumpeter of the band Element of Crime. His debut novel, *Herr Lehmann*, was published in 2001, remained on the SPIEGEL bestseller list for more than a year and was translated into numerous languages. His other novels include *Neue Vahr Süd*, *Der kleine Bruder*, *Magical Mystery oder: Die Rückkehr des Karl Schmidt*, *Wiener Straße* and *Glitterschnitter*. He also published the essay *Zwischen Depression und Witzelsucht. Humor in der Literatur* (2024). The screenplay for the film adaptation of *Herr Lehmann* received the German Film Award.
