Susanne Weingarten

Susanne Weingarten (born 1964) is a German journalist with a doctorate in American studies. She began her journalism career at SPIEGEL in 1992 and later spent several years living and working in Los Angeles and Boston as a freelance writer and publicist. In 2008, she became head of SPIEGEL’s culture department. In 2015, she was appointed to lead its special topics department, which includes the publications SPIEGEL GESCHICHTE and SPIEGEL WISSEN.
