Susanne Kerckhoff (1918–1950) was a German writer, journalist, and publicist. After the Second World War, she worked for a satirical weekly and, from 1948, served as an editor and head of the feuilleton section at the Berliner Zeitung. She initially joined the SPD in 1945 and the SED in 1947, subsequently moving to Berlin’s Soviet sector. Four books appeared in the years between the end of the war and her death; during the war, she published three novels of popular fiction. Kerckhoff was the daughter of literary historian Walther Harich and musician Eta Harich-Schneider.
