Susanne Heynen

Susanne Heynen, born in 1960, holds a doctorate in the humanities or social sciences (Dr. phil.) and is trained as an occupational therapist and psychologist. From 1994 to 2016, she worked for the Social and Youth Affairs Department of the city of Karlsruhe. She initially provided psychological counseling through the city’s psychosocial service, became head of the Children’s Office in 1999, and headed the Youth Welfare Office from 2007. In 2016, she took over the leadership of Stuttgart’s Youth Welfare Office.
