Susanne Aeckerle

Susanne Aeckerle worked as a translator and freelance editor. Among the authors whose works she translated were Lindsey Davis, Lesley Downer, Francine Prose, Faye Kellerman, J. K. Rowling, Sam Savage, Martin Cruz Smith, Frederick Forsyth, Lawrence Wright, and Christina Dalcher. In 2004, she translated the first volume of Susan Hill’s Serrailler crime series into German; she translated three of Hill’s crime novels in total. Some of her translations were produced in collaboration with Marion Balkenhol.
