Susanna Schwager, born in Zurich in 1959, is a Swiss writer. She worked as an editor, including at Diogenes Verlag, and lived in Mexico for several years. She became known for the documentary family panorama “Fleisch und Blut” (2004), “Die Frau des Metzgers” (2007), and “Ida – Eine Liebesgeschichte” (2010). Her other works include “Das volle Leben,” featuring life stories told by women and men over eighty, and “Das halbe Leben – Junge Männer erzählen.” In 2011, she received the Swiss Schiller Foundation Prize for her literary work.
