Suketu Mehta

Suketu Mehta was born in Kolkata in 1963 and grew up in Bombay. He studied at New York University and works as an author. His writing has appeared in publications including The New York Times Magazine, Granta, Harper’s, and Time. He has received several awards for his work, including the Whiting Writers Award and the O. Henry Prize. His book Bombay: Maximum City won the 2005 Kiriyama Prize and was also a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize, as well as being nominated for the Guardian First Book Award and the Ulysses Award.
