Steven Heller

Steven Heller was art director of The New York Times for 33 years and is the author or co-author of more than 100 books on design, visual communication, illustration, popular culture, and political cartoons. He was co-founder and co-chair of the MFA Design program “Designer as Author” at the School of Visual Arts in New York. In 2011, he received the Smithsonian National Design Award.
