Steve Toltz

Steve Toltz was born in Sydney. Before becoming a writer, he lived in Montreal, Vancouver, New York, Barcelona and Paris, working at various times as a private detective, cameraman, telephone salesperson, security guard, English teacher and screenwriter. His debut novel, “Vatermord und andere Familienvergnügen,” was shortlisted in 2008 for the Booker Prize and the Guardian First Book Award, and received the Christina Stead Prize.
