Steve Niles

Steve Niles (born 1965) is an American comic-book writer and author. In the early 1990s, he adapted Richard Matheson’s science-fiction horror novel »I Am Legend« as a comic. He became particularly known for the vampire series »30 Days of Night«, which led to numerous comic sequels, films, novels and a crossover with »The X-Files«. Niles also created »Criminal Macabre«, a comic and prose series about the occult detective Cal McDonald. For DC Comics, he developed the character Simon Dark and wrote, among other titles, »Batman: Midnight in Gotham« and »Batman: Gotham, Dark Country«.
