Stephen Mitchell

Stephen Mitchell, born in 1943 in Brooklyn, New York, studied literature and philosophy at Amherst College, in Paris, and at Yale. He worked as a literary translator and author. He also became known for his involvement with Byron Katie and her method, “The Work,” which he encountered after being introduced to it by his literary agent.
