Stephan Milich

Stephan Milich is a literary scholar and senior lecturer in Arabic literature and Islamic Studies at the University of Cologne. His academic fields include contemporary Arabic poetry and prose, culture and ideology, and representations of exile and trauma in Arabic literature. He has published extensively on modern Arab poetry and translated literary works by contemporary Arab authors—including Mahmoud Darwish, Mohammed Bennis, and Rosa Yassin Hassan—into German.
