Stephan Krass

Stephan Krass, born in 1951 in Ochtrup, studied literary studies, philosophy and sociology and earned a doctorate with a thesis on poetics. Until 2017, he worked as a radio editor for Südwestrundfunk (SWR) in Baden-Baden. He wrote features, radio plays and literary texts, and held teaching positions at universities in Germany and abroad. In 2015, he was appointed honorary professor of literary art at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design; he also taught at the Institute for Literary Writing and Literary Studies at the University of Hildesheim. In 2007, he received the Radio Play Prize of the Academy of Arts in Berlin.
