Stella Eich

Stella Eich was born in Hamburg in 1984 and studied communication design there. After graduating, she briefly worked in packaging design before beginning veterinary medicine studies in Munich. She returned to Hamburg after two years and worked at a theater for several years. In 2021, she became a self-employed illustrator. Her illustrated children’s books include “Das wunderbarste Wesen der Welt” and “Zwei Mädchen im Glück”; her first book was nominated for the 2022 German Children’s Book Prize. Eich grew up with horses in the countryside, a connection to animals and nature that is also reflected in her illustrations.
