Stella Benson (1892–1933) was an English novelist, poet, travel writer and feminist. She supported women’s suffrage and worked in welfare during the First World War. Her writing combined elements of fantasy with realism, humour and satire, often exploring isolation and loneliness. Benson received the French Prix Femina – Vie Heureuse and the Benson Medal for her work.
