Frank-Walter Steinmeier, born in 1956 in Detmold, is a German jurist and politician. He served as Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs and was elected the twelfth Federal President of the Federal Republic of Germany in 2017. In 2022, the 17th Federal Convention re-elected him for a second term.
