Steffi Frei is a German fantasy author. Her debut, *Schicksal der Fearane: Die letzte Tiare*, launched a high-fantasy trilogy about a winged forest people. She subsequently published the urban fantasy vampire series *In den Farben der Finsternis*. Since 2021, Frei has also worked as a freelance editor specializing in fantasy. At the age of ten, she wrote her first substantial story, about a guinea pig named Emma who sets off on a journey.
