Stefano Saracino, born in 1980, earned his doctorate at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich with a study of discourse on tyranny and tyrannicide in Machiavelli’s generation. His scholarly fields include the history of ideas, communication, and culture, as well as political theory and the history of political thought, particularly in antiquity and the early modern period. He has also worked on republicanism and Renaissance utopias.
