Stefanie Frida Lemke

Stefanie Frida Lemke was born in 1977 near Hanover and initially trained as a bookseller. She subsequently studied German and English/American literature in Hanover and Bristol. After working in licensing, scouting and literary agencies in Munich and New York, she turned to translating literature from English. Her work has been supported by several grants from the German Translators’ Fund, and she was nominated twice for the German Youth Literature Prize. Her preferred translation projects include books by queer authors.
