Stefanie Duckstein

Stefanie Duckstein was born in Munich in 1974 and studied art and art education there, focusing on free painting, artistic drawing, and children’s books. In 2002, she began working as a freelance illustrator, painter, and art educator. Her illustrations have appeared in numerous newspapers and magazines, and she has also worked for cultural and social institutions, including SOS Children’s Villages and Munich’s youth welfare office. A particular focus of her artistic work is children’s and young adult literature, especially depictions of animals and their symbolic significance.
