Stefan Krankenhagen

Stefan Krankenhagen is a professor of cultural studies and popular culture at the University of Hildesheim. His research focuses include the representation of history in popular media, material culture and cultures of remembrance, and sports and fan cultures. He is a co-founder of the 11mm International Football Film Festival. His publications include the edited volume “Ästhetische Praxis als Gegenstand und Methode kulturwissenschaftlicher Forschung” (with Rolf Elberfeld, 2017) and the monograph “Exhibiting Europe: Institutions, People, Collections and Narratives in History Museums,” co-authored with Wolfram Kaiser and Kerstin Poehls (2016).
