Stefan Baron

Stefan Baron (born 1948) studied economics, political science and social psychology in Cologne and Paris. He subsequently worked as a research associate at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy before beginning an award-winning career in journalism. Among other roles, he was a business editor and financial correspondent at Der Spiegel and served as editor-in-chief of WirtschaftsWoche for 16 years. A China expert, he also served for many years on the Board of Trustees of the American Institute for Contemporary German Studies. His last corporate position was Global Head of Communications at Deutsche Bank.
