Stanislaw Lem

Stanislaw Lem was born in 1921 in Lwów, Poland. He was a writer who produced numerous works of fiction as well as theoretical writings on science fiction, applied philosophy, and cybernetics. His particular interest was science fiction as a literary genre. Lem died in Kraków in 2006.
